War photographers and cameramen

We all have seen original footage or pictures made during WW2.  But often the men and women, risking their lives following the armies into combat, are forgotten. When the first camps were discovered, or major events took place, they were present with the Liberators of the “Greatest Generation”.  In this chapter I want to give them their rightful place, but not solely to the men and women covering WW2, but to all those who covered and are still covering wars and often pay the highest price for their commitment…

When I started with this chapter, I didn’t know that this would become the most important element of the website. Since then, I have had the honor of being in direct contact with many Veterans, who were Army/Air Force combat cameramen or Marine Cinematographers.  I have decided to give a subpage to every person (menu on the right). Just click on the name of the person and a new page will open.  Take your time to learn about their history and their legacy!
